Easy SEO Tips to Boost Your Search Engine Rankings

Here are a few search engine optimization or SEO tips to improve your rankings, I have found these in just about every good SEO course I’ve seen and have benefited from implementing these tactics. I also wanted to list them here on the blog because
I seem to always forget what they are or where to find it. So you will also be able to bookmark it and come back anytime you need it or forget what was what.

1)    Page Title – This is probably one of the most important things you can optimize for your site. The key to remember is to use your keyword phrase that you want to rank for in your page title and keep it as close to the beginning of the title as possible. For more details go to: www.seo-prediction.com.Google only reads the first 65 characters, so make sure you don’t go over it because searches won’t be able to read your full title.
Besides using the keyword phrase that you are trying to rank that page for, you also need to make your title interesting as you need to get people to click on it.

2) Page Description – This is another way to include your main keyword phrase your trying to rank for and allows you to improve on getting the searcher to click to go to your site. You only need one or two sentences worth, under 150 characters.
Another good reason for creating your own description is that if you don’t have one, search engines will try to grab some content from your site that normally isn’t very good for attracting visitors. Also if you make changes to your site, it some times grabs old information that is no longer on your site.

3) Duplicate Content – The main points to keep in mind is to make sure your content is at least 50% different, keep in mind that the template can be counted as duplicate content depending on how your site is structured.
Another way that duplicate content can become a big problem and more noticeable is in your title tag or description tag. For each page of your site you should have different title tags, description tags and keywords. Keywords don’t mean as much as they use to but it is still a good idea to have 5 or 10 that describe your page as some of the smaller search engines still pick them up.

4) Keyword Research & Optimization – First of all, before you can do any of the other optimization tactics you need to know what keywords you are going to be optimizing your site or a specific page on your site for. Once you know what keywords your trying to rank for, everything becomes much easier.
If your writing an article or content on your site, include your keyword phrase in the first paragraph, the last paragraph and depending on how much content you write, mix your keyword phrase in a few more times. To put more emphasis on your keyword phrase, you can use bold or italics. I don’t recommend underlining keywords because many people assume words that are underlined are links. Using header tags (H1, H2, H3) will help out as well, these tags are mostly used for titles and sub titles.
